Here are some tips for making your video resume.

  • A recording device is needed .... Digital camera, web cam, digital video camera or video phone
  • Video content is very important and cannot exceed 60 seconds in length or 50M in size.

What kind of info?

  • Education
  • Skills
  • Experience

Maybe mention employment status if you wish, or even employment history and availability for work. What are you looking for in a job? Your willingness to travel or even relocate.

DO NOT give any personal information (name, address or contact info) on your video. For your safety, your video will not be posted if it contains this type of information. If you feel more comfortable, you can use your first name but that's all.

To help you get started the staff at SLV have put together a few sample videos to give you some ideas of how you might want your video resume to look.
